01The problem

Translation, without the trade-off.

Website owners want their site translated automatically, without sacrificing translation quality.

02What was built

As CTO: designed the infrastructure, led the team that runs and improves it, and scaled it as adoption grew. At its core sits a translation proxy built on OpenResty and Lua, protected against abusive bot traffic.

01

Every language, instantly

One click on the language switcher and the whole page is in French, German, Vietnamese or Japanese. Each language has its own address, so search engines index it too.

  • Multilingual SEO
  • Instant switching
02

Three versions, one choice

For every sentence, the site owner picks what visitors see: the standard machine translation, an AI-enhanced version that reads more naturally, or their own wording. Every change is kept as a version.

  • AI-enhanced translation
  • Live editor
  • Version history
03

What happens behind the scenes

Every visit goes through the proxy. Abusive bots are stopped first, most pages come straight from the translation cache in around 10 ms, and only new content goes to the AI, once, before being cached for the next visitor.

03The result

I build and run heavy infrastructure that stays fast and available under high traffic, for paying customers.
